Vratham + Nichayathartham + Haldi

The Vratham (விரதம்) is a significant pre-wedding ritual that marks the beginning of the formal ceremonies. It is typically held a day before the Muhurtham (wedding ceremony) and is observed by both the bride's and groom's families.

The Nichayathartham is the formal engagement ceremony before the wedding.

The Haldi is a fun event for family and friends to get to know each other where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom.

Time: 9 am - 12:15 pm

Please note: The dress code is shades of yellow, orange, ivory and peach.

Baraat

The Baraat refers to the groom’s arrival at the wedding venue, accompanied by his family and friends in a joyous parade, with music, dance, and celebration. It symbolizes the groom coming in all glory to claim his bride and to join the bride’s family.


Following the Baraat, the bride’s family will welcome the groom’s family.

Sangeet

The Sangeet is a joyful celebration of music, dance, and togetherness. Family and friends from both sides come together for an evening filled with performances, laughter, and festive spirit, as we celebrate the love and union of Mahitha and Rohith. Join us for a night of rhythm, color, and unforgettable memories!

Muhurtham

The Muhurtham is the main wedding ceremony — the sacred moment when the bride and groom are officially married. The word Muhurtham means an auspicious time for a harmonious and prosperous married life.

Time: 6:30 am

Muhurtham: 8:30 am - 10 am

Please note: The dress code is Traditional South Indian Attire (bright colors are encouraged).

*As this is a formal and religious event, please avoid wearing shorts and wearing black as that is considered inauspicious during the wedding ceremony.

*You may be asked to remove your shoes at the venue.
